This is the start of a new series on my blog about my weekly favorites. While I foresee the majority of my weekly favorites will be beauty related, you will also see other lifestyle items. This could include fashion, food, travel-related items or places, etc. My week will begin on a Saturday in this case 8/6 and end on Friday which for this week is 8/12.

Allure Beauty Subscription Box – October 2015

I have really been enjoying my Allure Beauty Box (formerly Allure Sample Society) especially since Allure took over the service two months ago.  The last two boxes I have received 6 products rather than 5 as I had with Sample Society.  As always, it comes with the Allure mini magazine which gives detailed information about each product.  This is the most descriptive explanation of any subscription I receive.

October’s box came with a nice variety of products that included body care, skin care, hair care, and color cosmetics. I haven’t tried all the products yet but the one that I will share my thoughts.

This is formally the Allure Sample Society box by Beauty Bar which is now being curated by Allure Editors.  The price of this subscription is $15 per month or you can purchase an annual subscription for $165 giving you one month free.  You will receive at least 5 deluxe size samples along with a mini magazine that include editor reviews.

Review: Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

There has been so much hype around Micellar cleansing water products with most brands being hard to get in the States primarily found in France. The most popular being Bioderma ($13.95, 250ml) which gets rave reviews for removing even the most stubborn makeup including waterproof mascara.
